During the many Qur’anic tours that Ali Rezazadeh Juybari and his father conducted throughout Iran, lovers of the Holy Qur’an repeatedly encouraged them to establish a Qur’anic institution that would serve the Muslim community through practical and effective methods of Qur’anic education—especially the successful approach through which Ali himself memorized the Holy Qur’an.
Although founding such an institution involved considerable financial challenges, Hujjat al-Islam Rezazadeh placed his trust in Allah and established the Quran & Nahj al-Balagha Foundation as a service to the Muslim community.
Following the establishment of its main center in the holy city of Qom, additional branches were opened in Babol, Khalkhal, and Tehran, enabling Qur’an enthusiasts to receive organized and systematic instruction.
Separate classes were established for boys, girls, men, and women so that students could study and memorize both the Holy Qur’an and Nahj al-Balagha.
Special educational programs were also designed to accommodate students’ academic schedules throughout the school year. These programs attracted participants of all ages and educational levels.
The Foundation provides both general and specialized Qur’anic education, including:
- Reading directly from the Mushaf
- Correct Qur’anic pronunciation (Tajwid)
- Qur’an memorization (Hifz)
- Qur’an translation
- Qur’anic interpretation (Tafsir)
- Advanced Qur’anic studies
By the grace of Allah, these programs have achieved remarkable success under the guidance of experienced and distinguished instructors.
One of the features that has made the Foundation’s courses especially attractive is the use of modern educational aids, as well as educational camps, cultural excursions, visits to the holy shrines, and opportunities to meet distinguished figures in the field of Qur’anic studies.
Despite these achievements, the Foundation has faced significant financial challenges since its establishment. It continues to operate from rented facilities, and much of the administration’s time is devoted to securing the funds necessary to cover operational expenses instead of focusing entirely on teaching and educational development.
The tuition fees paid by students cover only a portion of the actual cost of instruction, requiring the Foundation to rely on additional sources of support to continue its educational mission.
Those who truly care about the Holy Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) should recognize that building a Qur’anic society requires financial support. Just as substantial resources are invested in sports, cinema, and other public activities, supporting Qur’anic institutions, honoring Qur’an memorizers and reciters, and promoting Qur’anic education through appropriate media are, in reality, forms of honoring the Holy Qur’an itself.
Statement of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution
His Eminence, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated:
“When the Qur’an enters a society, it fills that society with its sweetness. Today, the Qur’an occupies a central place in our country. The first step is to learn the Qur’anic text, and this effort should continue to expand day after day. If we want people to become familiar with the Qur’an, a group of outstanding individuals must first rise to excellence, just as in any other field. If you want sports to become popular, champions must appear before the people.”
